I have been playing so much DOOM. In 2020 (I think) I played DOOM (1993) and started DOOM II but didn’t finished it until, like, last year. Then, started DOOM 64 and didn’t finish it until I think earlier this year. But then I reached a critical mass. I played DOOM 3 & its expansions & read the DOOM 3 novels & played DOOM (2016) and then DOOM VFR (that one wasn’t so good. Probably was a lot better when it came out in 2017 but VR has moved on a lot since then) and now I’m playing DOOM Eternal. I need to slow down, I’m starting to go through it too quickly to enjoy it, especially now that I don’t have as much of it left to get through.
Thoughts on DOOM (2016), a good solid fun game. I enjoyed the exploration and I’m gonna try to get all the secrets and weapon and suit upgrades. I’d like to try get all the achievements but that’d mean higher difficulties and multiplayer and… yeah that might be too much for me. Should be easy enough to get all the achievements for VFR though so maybe I should do that. Hey, it’s not technically impossible that I could get good at DOOM (2016)! It is impossible I could get good at DOOM Eternal though. Straight up. I should try the multiplayers though. Even though I’ll be obliterated (If I can even get a game in DOOM (2016))
But, man, DOOM Eternal is super draining. It’s very intense, very all-in. I find myself exhausted after playing a level. Another good reason to take a break. Maybe I’ll put some focus on DOOM (2016) for a little while.
I (and by “I” I actually mean someone else) also made this Tweet about DOOM Eternal
The joke just either way feels very dated. Like it was 2 or 3 years out of date 4 years ago (when the game came out)
That’s all I’ve gotta say for now, maybe I’ll give my thoughts on DOOM Eternal and its DLCs when I finish them
Bye-bye!
